BA(hons), MFHT, Dip Massage, Dip Reflexology, Dip Aromatherapy
Following her BA(hons) degree in Journalism ten years ago, Emily went on to write reviews on makeup and beauty products, then became increasingly interested in ‘how it all worked’.
As a result, she has built up her professional knowledge and skills since 2014 when she first studied Beauty Therapy: qualifications in Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy following in subsequent years. Emily gained practical experience during and after qualification by working in a busy beauty bar and also as a volunteer therapist at the Trinity Holistic Centre based at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
Not one to let the grass grow under her feet, Emily also worked until recently at a very busy local spa where, although different to the health sector, enabled her to deliver a service to clients/patients who, “simply want a pamper” or people who would benefit from help with relaxation for several reasons.
Emily continues to work as a member of staff at the Trinity Centre using her experience, together with further training in Head and Neck Cancer Awareness, Chronic Pain Education and Wellness for Cancer, to patients in several wards.
To add to her growing portfolio of skills, Emily has completed several courses including, Lava Shell Massage, Hot Stones Massage and OPI Professional Manicure and Pedicure.
We are delighted to welcome Emily to the team at Seven Wellbeing where she will continue with her overall philosophy...…
“I see everyone I treat as a complete person.
I focus on the individual, not just on their illness or their issues.”
